There are more words that I can say about the way that life treats someone. Yes, you may get into the mud. Yes, you may have a lot of debt or bills to pay every single month. That does not mean that your life is ruined. Find a way around it. Find your serenity. The sanctuary where you can go to so you can relax. Find some clarity in the  madness and the hustle and bustle of life.

The thing is though… even if your life is on a line, you can change it. You can repair any damage yourself and work to get better. Budget your money, invest a little here or there, find your way in reality so you can change your life now. Your best life is now.

I was always told that life has to be a specific way. Now there’s a book that I want to mention called Brave New World. Absolutely wonderful book and I highly recommend it for those who want to learn more about society. In the book, people are born into a caste system where we are the Epsilons or the khaki people who cannot read or write, but work undesirable jobs. The next is the Deltas who work menial jobs. Gammas are skilled workers and low-risk professionals. Betas are similar to Alphas (which I will get to next), but require less thinking. Alphas are the best of the best. They run the factories and are high in social class status. Their class is even further divided down into Plus, Minus, and Double-Plus.

What you can take away from this is, we are born, but we are not born into any caste system. Yes, there are disadvantages in life with sometimes where you are born, Yes, sometimes those who are born into wealth tend to have an easier life, but that does not mean that you cannot strive for a better life.

Oprah was one of those people that came from nothing. You can read more about her biography here .

Howard Schultz wanted to jump over that fence to achieve something beyond growing up in a housing complex for the poor.  You can learn more about Starbucks here.

Honestly, what I want you to take from this is simple… every hurdle, every block in the road, every pothole, every rain drop, every hurricane, tornado, tidal wave, monsoon that you go through those are what get you through life. Those are what makes you human. What makes you stronger. If you did not become stronger then you would not be here today.

A status is a status. Be smart, learn from your mistakes, but make them again and again.

Valerie @ Living on Dimes

Hello! My name is Valerie Arel. I started Living on Dimes to help those who need motivation and want to be financially stable and free! I currently have $28,000 in student debt WITH $12,000 in credit card debt. I hope that you come with me on my journey so we can all be financially stable. Little about me: I consider myself a mompreneur = mom+entrepreneur. We are in the process of adopting my niece and I have my son. When my son was younger, it was just he and I. We went through a lot together as mother and son, I know he does not remember a lot of it, but I want to share my experiences with you. I hope to get to know each and every one of you!
