Dreams and Goals

Share

Every so often, I love to talk about my future. I know that every single one of you has a different life that you lead. We all had a different upbringing so I do not expect your dreams and goals to be the same as mine.

My biggest dream is to travel the world. To be able to see all the places that I have only heard of. To be able to explore the great outdoors. To be free.

I am so worried about the future. My future, my families, my extended family. I was the first one in my immediate family to go to college and with that I have amounted $28,000 in student loans and $12,000 in credit card debt. Now I know that using credit cards is very unwise and stupid, but it is one of those things that I just had to. There was no other way around it. If I did not use credit cards then we would not have had dinner and I am not talking about going out to eat, I am talking about groceries. While I was in school, we were broke and rundown. Now I have amounted $40,000 in debt and I want it PAID OFF.

A massive goal is to get done with this debt. I am so tired of being in debt. I had a plan in the springtime to get my debt down. I am in the process of making a budgeting book to help me. I will share some of the ideas that I have in a later post! The best way to get debt down is to work on budgeting as much as possible. Have your spouse and yourself on the same page with eating out and everything else. If you are on the same page, life is a lot easier.

What are your dreams and goals in life? What do you hope to accomplish? How can  you get there? What is one thing you can do today to make that goal or dream a little more in reach today?

Valerie @ Living on Dimes

Hello! My name is Valerie Arel. I started Living on Dimes to help those who need motivation and want to be financially stable and free! I currently have $28,000 in student debt WITH $12,000 in credit card debt. I hope that you come with me on my journey so we can all be financially stable. Little about me: I consider myself a mompreneur = mom+entrepreneur. We are in the process of adopting my niece and I have my son. When my son was younger, it was just he and I. We went through a lot together as mother and son, I know he does not remember a lot of it, but I want to share my experiences with you. I hope to get to know each and every one of you!
